beeSOLAR’s Innovative Solar System for Modern Homes

Project Overview

beeSOLAR worked in partnership with the homeowner to delivery a solution that met not only their energy needs, but helped to blend in seamlessly with the aesthetic of the property.

Job Location

  • Location: Lisburn, Northern Ireland

System Details

  • Solar Panels: Installed 20 Aiko 460w solar panels on an east and west roof top. These panels were selected to blend as closely to the tile of the roof.
  • Inverter: SolaX X1-IES all in one stack.
  • Batteries: 2 5.1kWh batteries, which can be upgraded at anytime to increase capacity.
  • Heat Pump integration exclusive to the SolaX range.

Performance Highlights

  • Energy Demand Met: Achieved 58% of the homeowner’s energy demands.
  • Energy Usage: over 80% consumed on-site, reducing reliance on grid electricity.

Community Contribution: nearly 20% exported back to the grid, supporting clean energy initiatives.

Long-Term Impact

  • Estimated Savings: Expected savings of over £92,158 over 30 years.
  • Environmental Benefits: Significantly reduces carbon footprint, aligning with sustainability goals.

Challenges Faced

  • Shading at the front of the property: Panels installed on the rear roof, maximising generation by splitting the array over opposing roof tops.
  • New build home, finished to a very high standard. Our design needed to fit the aesthetic of the home.

Solution Implemented

  • Safety-Centric Approach: Utilized a high-spec inverter and positioned beside the customer’s heat pump for easy integration.

Conclusion

beeSOLAR’s tailored solution exemplifies expertise in solar PV system installations, showcasing a commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
